Class Description:

      The goal of this course is to help you develop the skills you
will need for effective business writing. This course will emphasize organization,
style, and conventions appropriate to business letters, memorandums, reports,
and other forms of business discourse. You will improve your ability to write
fluently and persuasively while strengthening your awareness of audience, tone,
and style. Students enrolled in this course can expect to: Learn the organization, style, and conventions appropriate to
various forms of business communication; practice writing processes, learn research methods, and develop
an appropriate style; work with each other as a group of professionals; practice written and oral communication; learn professional problem solving; learn and use new communicative technologies. Both formal and informal writing and oral communication are required
of students. Students can expect to write in a variety of forms, including a
