Class Description:

This will be a fiction workshop.

For the first couple of weeks, we'll read stories from the text (The Story and Its Writer, Seventh edition), and write in and out of class exercises, which are designed to give you ideas for longer works, and to work on specific ficitonal techniques.

After that we'll do a round of workshops, where we'll read and critique student stories or novel chapters.

Then comes another round of stories/exercises, followed by another round of workshops.

It's an enjoyable class for me, and I hope for the students as well, but they must be prepared to participate.
